Ellen: -- and he just looks at me now, you know? An' he yells all the time. Even when I'm good an' don't yell back. I can't do anything right....
Lena: Well, you were gonna shoot him, hon. That's not a turn-on for most men.
Ellen: I didn't know what else to do! He was my first, my -- I just love him so much, and he, he -- I did everything right! How can he just stop?
Lena: People change, Ellen.
Ellen: Well I don't want him to change. I want him to stay happy with me.
Lena: ... You really would have shot him.
Ellen: Yes! He's mine. He had no right.... I guess that's not a turn-on either, is it.

The new computer (christened Ajax) is up, running, and unbelievably fast. The first time I ran a render on it I started laughing uncontrollably. Yeah, that fast.
Still behind, because it took a good twenty-four hours to get Ajax set up and I'm still running into oh-looks (oh, look, I forgot I don't have my custom fonts installed. Oh, look, I'll need to find the serial number for ComicLife. Oh, look, I haven't put the FTP server on this computer yet....), but, ah, there seems to be about two feet of snow on the ground that weren't there last night and I don't think I'm going to work, so that may speed things up a bit....

A immortal child isn't a child: she's a prize for science to win and business to sell. But children don't want to live forever. Children want to grow up.
